Kaal Bhairav is also called Kotwal of Kashi or Inspector of Kashi. Kaal Bhairav Mandir of Kashi is located in the northern part of the city, about three kilometers from Cantt of Banaras. A proverb is prevalent in the whole of Kashi that after reaching the Dham of Baba Vishwanath, who did not worship Kaal Bhairav, who is called Kotwal of Kashi, his journey is considered incomplete.
